Yes, and there is no catch to find later. Every widget on this page is free to embed on any site, with no account, no key and no limit on how many people load it. They are not tied to a subscription and never have been, so you can embed everything here without an account, and nothing changes if you never subscribe. They exist because a widget on your website sends visitors back to Hunting Hubs, which is worth more to us than a fee would be.

Neither. The script is about 14KB, loads asynchronously so it never blocks your page from rendering, and draws nothing until your visitor has already seen your content. It pulls no fonts, no frameworks and no tracking. It cannot clash either: each widget renders inside a shadow root, a sealed boundary your CSS cannot reach into and whose CSS cannot leak out. It looks the same on your site as it does in the preview above.

No. The widget sets no cookies, stores nothing on your visitor’s device, and sends us no identifiers. It asks for one listing’s conditions and renders the answer.

Not to use a widget. Getting listed is free and worth doing anyway: it lets you fix the photos, hours and details your visitors see when they click through, and it is what turns a badge embed into featured placement across Hunting Hubs.

Add one of our free widgets or the Featured badge to your own website and your listing becomes Featured: a gold star on the map, a Featured badge on your card, and placement above listings that are not featured. Any link to your listing counts, including one marked nofollow or sponsored. Featured is recognition for linking to us, not a trade for search ranking credit. We re-check weekly. If the link comes down, featured placement lapses about three weeks later, and it comes back the next time we see the link. Featured in exchange for a link runs while we are in beta. Once beta ends and paid plans open, subscribing to a plan is the only way to earn featured placement. If your link is verified before beta ends, you keep the full Featured treatment, badge and star included, for as long as the link stays live.

Yes. The widgets are MIT licensed, with the source on GitHub and a live demo. The river gauge and surf forecast fetch their data straight from USGS and Open-Meteo in your visitor’s browser, so no server of ours sits in the path. You are welcome to host the file yourself if you would rather not load anything from us.
