Of the 11 states we have read, the next printed date is Utah's Sportsman permit drawing, Oct 20 to Nov 10, 2026. It is for residents only. Many states have not printed their next dates yet, so check back through the winter.

Utah's Sportsman permit drawing, Oct 20 to Nov 10, 2026, is the next elk date any state we read has printed. It is for residents only. Other states' elk dates may simply not be out yet.

Each agency prints its next dates on its own schedule, and we only show dates a state has printed. Until it prints the next ones, we show the last ones, marked as passed, so you can see when it ran last time. They are not a promise about next year.
