  Had a great experience hunting an Eastern Turkey with Midwest Whitetail Outfitters. Communication with Ed was excellent both before and during my hunt. I did a semi-guided hunt where I was provided pins and follow-up by Ed for locations to hunt and park on various farms. Due to airline issues getting there I missed the 1st morning of my hunt and still was able to get my tom down within a few hours of starting a mid-day hunt. Everything was easy, the cost was very fair and I got a great longbeard. Everything from start to finish was a well run operation.

  We went for the late muzzleloader in January. The weather wasn't the best for the first 3 days or so. Then a heavy snow storm came in and we lost one day. But the farms are definitely nice with deer sign everywhere. I seen a lot of deer. Most evenings they just moved a little too late. Ed did everything he could to get us on bucks. My buddy shot a tall heavy big body mature 8pt buck. Unfortunately with the snow storm that came in, it made it very difficult to track. Hopefully they find him once the snow is gone. Another one of our buddies shot a nice mature buck on this last evening. We had a great time, met new friends and we are already booked to go back. They shoot some giants on their farms. Hopefully next trip I'll bring home one of those Iowa giants. Thanks Ed and Hunter for the opportunity and looking forward to returning.

  Awesome hunt, my only complaint was that it was over so quickly. Ed gave me a pin on where to setup, it was about 150 yards from where 2 Toms were roosted. One set of calls and they flew down and came running. I poked around the property for the rest of the day and saw several other nice gobblers and lots of deer. Huge deer tracks everywhere. I put in for Iowa deer points and would love to get back for another turkey hunt too.

  The Luster family will put you on enormous whitetails, and make you feel like family. I had an opportunity on a Boone and Crockett buck that I just couldn't capitalize on, but I took a decent buck the next day. These guides know the wind every day and put you in a stand that's right for it. They lease several farms and have dozens of well hung and safe stands that you never feel uncomfortable in. If you love to bowhunt whitetails, this is the outfit for you. Affordable prices, semi guided, fair chase, all class.
