  Ohio whitetail ridge is an amazing place if u want a great hunting experience. Great atmosphere great people and Scott is an amazing tour guide and host. Scott makes sure everyone has a great experience out in the woods. The lodge is amazing as well always clean and neat and the view from the lodge at sunset over the lake is just breathtaking. Will definitely be back next year. Can't wait to see Scott n his crew n family next year

  I have been hunting at Ohio Whitetail Ridge Outfitters for five seasons. Scott has been a great host/ guide for my hunting partner Leroy and myself. We start covering the weather and wind patterns and try to make the wisest decisions based on those factors. We have had numerous opportunities for harvesting mature bucks and of course doe if the situation allows. We do not always make the shot but the opportunities have been there like hunting any location. I am pleased with the lodge, food and other accommodations we .my have needed. Scott works hard to help put us in the position for success but ultimately we make our choices and I like that. My great experience with Scott and the Outfitters team has been wonderful as they have all gone above and beyond to accommodate us. Looking forward to another week in Ohio this year and strongly recommend Ohio Whitetail Ridge Outfitters to anyone looking for an opportunity to bag that buck we all search for.

  My husband, my father and I have hunted with Scott several times! We have had an amazing experience. There are several different stands and they are very comfortable. Some of the stands are deeper than others, but all sit on a food plot. The trails are very well marked and easy to follow especially first thing in the morning. Scotts Wife Jenny is just amazing. Anything we needed and it was taken care of! Thank you for giving us such an amazing experience! We will definitely be back!!

  Our group recently hunted with Whitetail Ridge Outfitters. To start with the positives — the property itself is beautiful, and the food Scott’s wife made was absolutely excellent. The cabin was comfortable, and we had a great time with the guys each evening sharing laughs and stories after the hunts. However, the actual hunting experience fell short of what we expected. The stands are set up in very easy-access spots rather than deeper in the woods where you’d typically have better cover and see more movement. We hunted during the rut — prime time — but out of six guys over five full days, we only saw one possible shooter buck and just a handful of does. It doesn’t seem like the property is managed to consistently grow or hold mature deer. We were sent a lot of pictures of big bucks in the months leading up to our trip, but unfortunately, none of those deer ever showed up. One bright spot was Jim, the guide on the property. He’s a solid guy who clearly understands hunting and did a phenomenal job getting everyone safely to and from their stands each day. Scott, the owner, knows his property but tends to treat hunters like beginners even if you’re experienced. He places you where he wants, and it took until the final day for me to finally hunt the spot I’d been asking for all week — where I at least saw a small basket 8-pointer. Scott is very focused on wind direction, which matters, but during the rut with good scent control, it’s not the end-all factor he makes it out to be. One small thing that felt off — Scott joins the hunters for dinner each night and sits at the head of the table. While he’s friendly, it did make it hard to just relax and have guy time with the group after long days in the woods. In short: Whitetail Ridge Outfitters offers great food, nice lodging, and beautiful land — but if you’re coming from out of town hoping for consistent encounters with 125+ class bucks, this probably isn’t the place.
