  I just had the most incredible trip with Rock Creek Ranch! I’m a first time female hunter, and did a ton of research before deciding to do my first Whitetail deer hunt with Rock Creek Ranch. What stood out to me the most was how transparent their website was and how friendly Cliff was when I reached out to inquire about a hunt, putting me at ease knowing I would be doing this trip alone. It’s a scary decision to not only hunt for the first time but to go to a ranch alone and I am so glad I chose Rock Creek Ranch as it was the best decision ever for a solo female hunter! The stay itself was amazing, from the property itself being absolutely stunning in the hill country, to having the whole ranch house to myself. The decor was beautiful and I felt so at home! Cliff and Taylor really made me feel like I was a part of the family from the moment I pulled up! Cliff was extremely knowledgeable and supportive during my hunts. He walked me through everything step by step so I felt very confident before our first hunt the night I got in. I booked a management hunt which included one doe and one buck. I was able to get the doe the first night and the buck first thing the next morning! I was so proud and so thankful for his guidance, allowing me to be successful so quickly as it was my first time ever hunting and I only started shooting a few months ago. I’m still in awe that I got both deer back to back, perfect shot placements and everything! The stay was also incredible thanks to Taylor who made the most delicious food and even made sure everything was gluten free since I am celiac! Her roasted beet salad was a highlight that I will never forget. She was also such a great host and I loved getting to spend time with her walking the property with their puppy Hans and sitting by the fire at the end of the day hanging out. This truly was an experience of a lifetime and I cannot thank Cliff and Taylor enough for being such wonderful hosts. I definitely plan to hunt again with them soon and would recommend their ranch for any and all female hunters! Walking away with amazing memories, plenty of deer meat, and two new friends.   Cliff was really knowledgeable about where to find and how to get to the animals and Taylor made really delicious meals. For my first time hunting axis buck he got me on one in the first half hour of hunting but couldn’t shoot it but the next late morning we found one and took him. The lodging was great and overall experience was fantastic.

  Cliff got me on a great group of Axis Bucks within 20 minutes of our first hunt spotting and stalking with my 9 year old son. Ended up waiting the group out in some heavy brush and took a fantastic buck right before dark. Animals were very wild but very healthy with great genetics. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Food was fantastic with Taylor’s cooking. Overall great experience at a beautiful ranch with knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant hosts.

  Stop the scroll and book your hunt NOW. This ranch is incredible. Stunning trophy kills, experienced guides, breathtaking views, relaxing accommodations and delicious food. There is something here for everyone; hunters, families, couples, friends groups, work retreats, you name it, they are going to blow you away. Cliff and Taylor's hospitality and knowledge is unmatched. They will welcome you like family, educate you like a wise ol' teacher and have you looking in your rear view window like "I wasn't ready to say goodbye." Book Rock Creek Ranch if you're looking for the best hunting in Texas, southern hospitality at its finest and the perfect setting to finally relax in. p.s... Taylor's macarons are absolute FIRE.
