Established in 1951 and opened commercially in 1973, Westervelt Lodge is Alabama's first and most storied commercial hunting lodge, operating on 12,000 contiguous acres in the Black Belt region near Aliceville. Guests pursue free-range whitetail deer, Eastern wild turkey, and upland birds across rolling hardwood and bottomland habitat managed by Westervelt Wildlife Services. The all-inclusive lodge experience includes professional guides, gourmet meals, and comfortable accommodations.
